• Echo areas

    Hello everybody!

As far as I know this system has ALL fido echos available as recorded in BACKBONE.NA

But, yes a but, there are some cases where a moderated echo has zero traffic and the moderator is still keeping it alive in the moderated ELIST area.

As the Elist maintainer I cannot remove them as it is down to the mod.

Any requests for any other echo including one's I have removed can be actioned here and my system will request it from the USA based master site but that does
not mean that any traffic will turn up :)

I have only deleted these dormant areas because of no traffic over a reasonable
period of time, but it is possible that there is a broken link somewhere that stop some arriving at the USA node and therefore here as well.

Note that there is also backstops to other nodes in North America but the situation has not changed regarding any as them where there would be flow - i.e., they are DEAD.

Perhaps makes up for some of the verbal back and forth of one or two others I will not mention.

Remember you can add your system to areas for both echos and files making use of this systems areamgr (echos) and Filemgr (file areas), just use the agreed and as set up password in the message subject line.

If that is not working let me know via netmail or even email and I will fix the
    issue.

    Note:
That all downlinks should receive monthly notify messages showing what areas you are connected to as well what others you are not, so please read them to check if you need to add yourself in to any missing one's.

Some file areas are also dead at this point in time as the filegate is still looking for replacement co-ordinators for various areas that in turn may just be dead anyway traffic wise due to no one is interested in maintaining the distribution.
