From Mike Powell@1:2320/105 to RANDALL SCHAD on Tue Sep 17 08:01:00 2024
I find it difficult to place much weight in this sort of
    commentary.
This is cultural difference and nothing more. The way we slaughter animals for food is exactly the same, regardless of whether
    they've
raised as pets first. (Rabbits, ducks, pigs...) Ever filleted a
    fish
    Boiled a live lobster?

This is the primary purpose, why I am Vegan.

I had the same mentality some years ago. A thought made me sick to my
    stomach
one day while eating a popular brand of chicken, and I couldn't eat flesh
    for
long, long time. It's become a constant roller coaster of an emotional and intellectial battle, dealing with that primal survival need.

I worked in a slaughter house/processing plant for a couple of years. I
have no issues eating meat. There are a couple of types of processed meat
I would not eat after smelling what they smell like being cooked/processed,
but they are types I would likey not have eaten anyway.

However, I respect others and their dietary choices.

I invite you both to check out the FIDO COOKING echo. If you mention you
are vegan, I am sure there will be plenty of recipes offered up. ;)
