A cyberattack on a Qantas customer contact center has stolen personal traveler data. According to the Australian airline, the data compromised included only names, email addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, and frequent flyer numbers.
The identity of the attack remains unknown: Qantas says no one has come forward claiming to have stolen the data. The data breach has since been resolved.
Qantas emphasizes that credit card or passport information was not compromised. The airline also says anyone who has booked a trip needn't worry: no passwords were compromised.
